I received a random email the other day offering advice from a wise businessman. You know those emails. It went on and on about how they were like me and that they eventually became successful because they found a great web designer from the Philippines for $2.70/hr who was amazing! He spoke English fluently and worked extremely hard!

It brought me back to how even here companies do not value the talent from our industry. They take on students fresh out of college and pay them the living wage, or slightly above that. These students that studied and trained for three years in their discipline, others even more. I ask myself, would you pay a plumber that? (and I have nothing against them.) I doubt that they would do the work for such a low wage, and typically plumbing education is only for one year.
